
HIMSS Office of Advocacy and Public Policy was founded in February 2000 and focuses on equipping federal and state officials with the knowledge they need to implement appropriate policy and works with all interested stakeholders including individual members, corporations, and collaborating organizations to coordinate and advance healthcare IT and management systems through advocacy and public policy initiatives. Advocacy and Public Policy legislative and regulatory actions are guided by HIMSS Legislative Principles.
The 6th Annual HIMSS Public Policy Forum will delve into "Health IT Priorities in the New Political Landscape” on October 28th at The National Press Club in Washington, DC. With heavyweight keynote speakers and panelists, the Public Policy Forum promises to be an event not to be missed. Read more
